Dr. Qiong Li

Dr. Li earned her PhD in Organic Chemistry from Northeastern University in Boston, her Master of Science in Petroleum Processing from Beijing Research Institute, and her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Inner Mongolia Normal University in China. She has also worked as a postdoc at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.

Dr. Li’s research activities are focused on investigating electronic and steric effects on the conformations of 1-arylpiperazines in solution by various NMR techniques and studying structure-activity relationships in the cleavage of DNA by arenediazonium salts.  She has served as University Chemical Hygiene Officer and Radiation Safety Officer and played an important role in lab safety inspection and training of our students for chemical safety.  She also has served on multiple committees at the Department, College and University level.
