Professional Background
After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in Education, Laufenberg taught elementary education for seven years in southwest Wisconsin. In February 2014, she was hired in the Human Resources department at UW-Platteville and worked for five years as Training Coordinator with experiences in developing and coordinating Leadership Academy for upcoming leaders on campus, as well as coordinating many other training opportunities for employees and supervisors. For two and a half years, Laufenberg served as an Academic Advisor from August 2019-January 2022 for the Master of Science in Organizational Change Leadership, Master of Science in Strategic Management programs, and Special, non-degree seeking graduate students. Laufenberg became a Career Development Coordinator in the Career and Professional Development Office in January 2022 and enjoys working closely with students to assist them in their career goals and help them learn about resources that are available to them as a student at UW-Platteville.
Laufenberg is married to Mark and lives in Highland, WI with Bae their Australian/Border Collie mix. They have two sons and a daughter. They are the proud grandparents to two granddaughters, Margot and Lola and one grandson, Knox. She is a life-long learner and enjoys helping people learn about themselves and grow professionally and personally. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, country road Jeep rides, reading, hiking, and scrapbooking.
