About
Dr. Krista A. Hardyman is a Professor of Animal, Dairy and Veterinary Sciences in the School of Agriculture at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. She serves as an advisor for students in the animal science, dairy science and pre-veterinary medicine programs. Krista also serves as the faculty advisor for the Pre-Veterinary Medicine Club and the Animal Welfare Assessment Team on campus. Her teaching responsibilities include Animal and Food Microbiology, Dairy Cattle Management, Companion Animal Care and Management and Topics in Animal Health and Welfare.
Krista attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, earning a B.A. in Biology (1996). She attended Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in May 2000 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Krista had the opportunity to practice veterinary medicine in both large animal and small animal private practices for the next 12 years. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Association of Bovine Practitioners.
Krista is a native of New Richland, Minnesota. She was raised on a dairy and crop farm. Krista currently resides with her family on a dairy farm in Belmont, Wisconsin.
