Dr. Vettrivel Gnaneswaran

Dr. Gnaneswaran earned his PhD and Master of Science in Industrial and Management Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Madras. Prior to joining UW-Platteville he was a post-doctoral research associate at the University of Texas Arlington.

Dr. Gnaneswaran research and teaching interests include biomechanics, statistics, quality control, supply chain, engineering management, and engineering education. Through his research, he has published two book chapters, five refereed journal articles, and over fifteen refereed conference papers. He is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Project Manager. He has consulted with various industries on process optimization and ergonomics. He has leveraged his research and industrial experiences to teach a range of courses within the Industrial and Mechanical engineering curriculum at UW-Platteville.
