About
Nancy Gartner began her career in education as an adjunct professor of criminal justice at Saginaw Valley State University in 2009. While earning her doctorate degree at Sam Houston State University, she worked as a graduate teaching assistant and also as a graduate teaching fellow before joining UW-Platteville in 2016 as an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice. She teaches in both the on-campus undergraduate and online masters degree programs. She has been published in Criminology, Criminal Justice and Behavior, and the Criminal Law Bulletin. Her research interests include: community corrections, correctional institutions, and elders in the criminal justice system.
