John Fick

John Fick is a UW-Platteville mechanical engineering alumnus (’03). Since then he has worked as a new product development engineer with industry leaders in fire apparatus and gas mask. Over the past five years he has worked in different areas with UW-Platteville, helping to start the sponsored projects program and assisting inventors with ideas with the UW-Fox Valley Center for Device Design and Development (3DC). His wife, Dr. Jessica Fick, works in the mechanical engineering department teaching Senior Design. In his free time, he enjoys climbing trees, helping as a volunteer firefighter in Dodgeville, and chasing his three-year old son.
