His master's degree was earned at Portland State University where for his thesis work he measured the heat flux produced by actively transpiring plants commonly used in green roofs. He earned his bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University.
Dr. Cox has spent more than 10 years in industry designing mechanical systems for energy efficient buildings including HVAC, plumbing, industrial exhaust, and solar hot water systems. He has consulted on the energy efficiency of buildings located around the world. He is a licensed professional engineer in WI.
