Dr. Chattopadhyay earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her B.Sc. in Chemistry and B. Tech. in Chemical Technology from the University of Calcutta in India. Dr. Chattopadhyay has been teaching Physical and General Chemistry courses at UW-Platteville since 2010. Currently her research focuses on developing technologies for transporting pharmaceutical compounds in the body to treat disease while minimizing undesirable side-effects. She enjoys engaging students in scientific methods and discoveries and has more than ten years of experience mentoring undergraduate researchers.
