Research Interests
My program of research has two related focuses. First, I am interested in how people come to develop confidently held false memories for non-experienced events. Second, I am interested in the false beliefs that can emerge from consuming information from unreliable media sources. In both cases, I am interested in ways in which those false memories and beliefs can be corrected. Overall, my research has both theoretical and practical implications, particularly in a “post-truth” world (Lewandowsky, Ecker, & Cook, 2017).
