About
Dr. Kelvin Amon is an Assistant Professor of Dairy Business and Economic Development in the UW–Platteville School of Agriculture, supported by the Wisconsin Dairy Innovation Hub. He holds a Ph.D. in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida.
At UW–Platteville, Dr. Amon teaches Agribusiness Management (AGBUS 4500) and draws on prior teaching experience in Environmental Economics, Introduction to Microeconomics, and International Trade Policy in Agriculture. His research centers on producer behavior, applied microeconomics, and the economics of pest and disease management, with peer-reviewed publication and extension outputs aimed at improving on-farm decision-making and competitiveness for Wisconsin dairy producers.
