UoN Exchange On-Site Staff
The University of Newcastle International office manages on-site matters for the UW-Platteville Exchange program at the University of Newcastle (UoN) as well as other services for prospective and current international students, including:activities related to
- sending students abroad and accepting international students.
- guidance on matters concerning international student studying and living.
A team of International Student Advisors (ISA) is dedicated to helping international students. ISA are trained to offer practical and personal support to students, including help with counseling, academic performance, or religious concerns. ISA can provide information and guidance to make students' time at UoN a rich and academically rewarding experience.
The staff of the UoN International Office also coordinate orientation programs specifically designed for international students. These orientation programs are held at various times throughout the year and include a range of interactive and informative activities. These activities have been developed to create opportunities for students to meet other students and to help international students to feel a part of the university community and of the local community.
As exchange students’ primary on-site contacts, students studying abroad at UoN through UW-Platteville Education Abroad are encouraged to contact the University of Newcastle International staff with any matters once in-country. Until then, students are encouraged to direct any inquires to the UW-Platteville Education Abroad staff.
