What emotional support resources are available?

Counseling is available for all UW-Platteville community members. 

University Counseling will be offering triage counseling Tuesday through Friday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. In addition, a toll-free emotional support line is available at 844.602.6680 or 720.272.0004, staffed by mental health professionals. Counseling Services is available through Mantra Health. We want to remind students that even as they prepare to leave campus for summer, these resources are still available.  University Counseling is also staffed in the summer. 

Counselors through Acentra Health will be available for faculty and staff to book on-site,  individual and group appointments by completing the scheduling form. Drop-in sessions are also available in the Markee Pioneer Student Center – Mining Room on Wednesday, May 21st from 9-5 and Thursday (hours will be based on demand.)   Faculty and staff are encouraged to take advantage of this service. What about Final Exams?

As of Monday evening, UW-Platteville cancelled all remaining final exams and assessments. If students have questions, they should contact the dean’s office for their college. Contact information is as follows:

Is Campus Open?

Yes; while final exams have been cancelled, campus is still open. Food service is available with normal hours and locations. The Markee Pioneer Student Center is operating normal hours. The PAC is open Tuesday through Thursday from 6 a.m.-8 p.m. and Friday from 6 a.m.-4 p.m.

Can I move out of my residence hall now?

With the exception of Wilgus Hall residents, other students can complete early check-out of their residence hall; please contact the staff of your residence hall for check-out information. Wilgus Hall students are being communicated with directly regarding timeline.

Can I return my textbooks now?

The Textbook Center will be open during finals week at these times:

  • Tuesday 8 a.m–7:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday 8 a.m–7:30 p.m.
  • Thursday 8 a.m–4 p.m.
  • Friday 8 a.m–4 p.m.

After hours textbook returns can be made to the Information Center of the Markee Pioneer Student Center until 10 p.m. through Thursday.
