The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Foundation is giving future Pioneers the opportunity to submit their college application at no cost until Saturday, Oct. 31.

“The Foundation supported the application fee to remove the financial worry from our prospective students,” said Joshua Boots, assistant vice chancellor for Development and Alumni Engagement. “Choosing a university is already a significant undertaking; the Foundation wanted to make applying for UW-Platteville as simple and carefree as possible. This is a fantastic initiative which we are confident will allow more prospective students to see the great educational opportunities UW-Platteville has to offer.”

According to Erin Withrow, enrollment communications specialist for Enrollment and Student Success, the fee coverage includes any undergraduate application submitted from transfer, international or new student registration. She advises students to submit their application early and to contact the university if they have any questions as they move through the application process.

“Our team is equipped to be ready to help with any questions,” said Withrow. “We have resources that can be available to help those students.”

Withrow notes the university is here to support and encourage students as they go through their collegiate career, and that support starts with their online application.

“By having our alumni fund this, it goes to show how much they invest not only in their time at UW-Platteville, but also the investment they are putting in the future of UW-Platteville,” she said. “It’s UW-Platteville holding the door for the next generation to come through.”
