The University of Wisconsin-Platteville will celebrate its 11th annual Pioneers Day of Giving on April 23–24, a two-day fundraising event dedicated to supporting student success.

Alumni, friends, students, faculty and staff are invited to come together for this high-energy, campus-wide tradition. One of the most impactful ways to give is through the Pioneer Scholarship Fund. Support of this fund directly helps students achieve their academic dreams at UW-Platteville while also providing the university with flexibility to address its most urgent needs.

“Pioneers Day of Giving is more than a fundraiser — it’s a powerful demonstration of what our community can accomplish together,” said Tammy Evetovich, chancellor of UW-Platteville. “Each gift helps pave the way for our students by opening doors to opportunity and ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed.”

This year introduces the “Pioneers Pave the Way” Challenge, encouraging participation from across the Pioneer community. If the university reaches its goal of 1,200 gifts, one randomly selected supporter will have the unique opportunity to have a campus street sign named in their honor for one year.

“This event reflects the strength of our community and our shared commitment to student success,” said Bridget Wallace, executive director of the UW-Platteville Foundation and Alumni Association. “When Pioneers unite, incredible things happen.”

Throughout the two-day event, donors can participate in special challenges, giveaways and real-time updates as the university tracks progress toward its goal. A kickoff celebration will take place at the Markee Pioneer Student Center, bringing together students and supporters to launch the event.

Last year, Pioneers Day of Giving raised more than $471,000 with over 1,000 gifts, demonstrating the continued growth and impact of this annual tradition.
