UW-Platteville Baraboo Sauk County to host employment fair in partnership with Wisconsin DWD

Over 30 employers and the Department of Workforce Development will help job seekers match with employers from 2-5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20 at the employment fair at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Baraboo Sauk County.

All job seekers will be welcome in the Gymnasium at UW-Platteville Baraboo Sauk County for a one-stop connection opportunity, as employers from healthcare, manufacturing, hospitality and other industries converge on campus.

“Everyone is welcome, whether you need your first job, your next job, a summer job, or an additional job,” said Jason Schulte, student life coordinator for UW-Platteville Baraboo Sauk County. Schulte added that the area employers are interested in meeting everyone they can, from teenagers to seniors, who are looking to get connected with jobs. Many employers will be interviewing and even hiring on the spot, and there will also be prize drawings and other rewards for attendees.

Applicants who need to access or print applications or resumes will be able to use computers and printers on site, as part of the event’s coordination with the Department of Workforce Development, added Schulte. “We’ve been very glad to work with DWD to make it simple for those who don’t have access to a printer to print materials for employers," he said.

No advance registration is needed from job seekers, and there is ample parking on campus.

“This is a great chance for people to meet with lots of potential area employers at once,” said Schulte.
