The University of Wisconsin-Platteville has announced the naming of the new Swalve Golf Suite in recognition of a gift from Jeff and Tara Swalve. The facility will provide student-athletes on the Pioneer women’s golf team with an indoor training and practice space that supports year-round development and competitive excellence.

The Swalve Golf Suite will offer a dedicated space for golfers to practice, analyze performance and build their skills regardless of weather conditions. The project reflects the Swalve family’s commitment to supporting student-athletes and investing in the future of Pioneer athletics.

“Our family’s connection to UW-Platteville runs deep,” said Jeff Swalve. “My parents, Paul and Pat, and I are all proud alumni, and watching our daughter compete as part of the UW-Platteville women’s golf program had a tremendous impact on our family. We wanted to give back in a way that supports future generations of student-athletes and provides them with the tools and experiences they need to succeed on and off the course.”

The gift underscores the important role alumni and family support play in expanding opportunities for students and enhancing the university experience.

“This generous gift from Jeff and Tara Swalve is an investment in our students, our athletics programs and the future of UW-Platteville,” said Chancellor Tammy Evetovich. “The Swalve Golf Suite will give our student-athletes access to a high-quality training environment that supports their growth, performance and overall student experience. We are deeply grateful for the Swalve family’s commitment to our university and their belief in the impact of Pioneer athletics.”

The Swalve Golf Suite represents another step forward in expanding facilities and resources for UW-Platteville student-athletes while honoring the enduring connection among alumni, families and the university community.
