No application fee to UW-Platteville branch campuses through June 15

The already-reduced application fee to attend UW-Platteville Baraboo Sauk County or UW-Platteville Richland will be completely waived from June 5-15, making it even easier for students to explore UW-Platteville’s two branch campuses as they start or continue toward their education goals, according to Assistant Provost for Branch Campus Operations Dr. Michael Compton.

“Any student can start or continue their education through our two branch campuses,” said Compton. “We are proud to be affordable access points for UW-Platteville and other UW System schools, and are very glad to offer this free application period to make it even easier for students to take the next step and stay on their path, especially during this challenging time.”

According to Compton, the two branch campuses offer “general education courses that fulfill college requirements of UW-Platteville, and are also guaranteed to transfer to any UW System school or most other accredited colleges and universities around the country.” The campuses have also added new associate degrees in business administration, food and agriculture and pre-engineering that provide preparation and skills to move directly into the job market, if students choose.

When students complete their new or transfer application, they will be able to skip the application fee portion through Monday June 15.  The campuses will both be offering virtual tours, admission counseling, and other live, online information sessions during the free application period, and throughout the summer.

The regular application fee was discounted to $25 earlier in the spring.
