UW-Platteville Foundation and Alumni Association raises $10.67 million in FY '26

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Foundation and Alumni Association is proud to announce it raised more than $10.6 million in philanthropic support over the 2026 fiscal year, one of the largest dollar amounts in the organization’s history.

“This year of fundraising is a credit to the unwavering support of our alumni, students, friends, faculty and staff,” said UW-Platteville Chancellor Dr. Tammy Evetovich. “As the higher educational climate continues to change, their generous gifts expand access to education, help create pathways for student access, strengthen innovative academic programs and create opportunities that will have a lasting impact on our campus and the communities our graduates serve. Together, we can continue to uphold the Pioneer tradition of excellence.”

The foundation secured $10.67 million over the year that ended June 30, making it one of the organizations' top fund-raising years. The total was about $2 million more than the amount raised in fiscal year 2025.

The generous contributions support student scholarships, program funds for academic majors and disciplines, athletic programming, faculty and staff, building projects and other priorities of the institution.

Most notably, the Pioneer Scholarship Fund raised over $4.75 million, up from $117,879 in fiscal year 2024. The foundation’s total endowment portfolio, meanwhile, increased from $52 million to $66 million due to the contributions and strong market returns.

“Our job in the foundation and alumni association is more important than ever due to the ever-changing landscape of higher education,” the foundation’s executive director, Bridget Wallace, said. “The foundation and alumni association is proud to be a bridge for our generous alumni to support current and future students at UW-Platteville through scholarships and program support.

“I’m blown away by the generosity of our alumni and friends this past year who see the value of supporting UW-Platteville and our students. Not only does their support help students realize the dream of attending college, but it also changes their family’s life and the community around them.

“The success this year is largely due to the dedicated team, strong campus partners, and an enthusiastic board of directors who work around the clock for our students.”

“It really helps the financial burden,” she said. “I would thank a lot of the donors. They’re always so kind to meet with and generous. They want to hear your story, and they’re interested in your future.”
