The Campus and Community Choir of UW-Platteville Baraboo Sauk County, under the direction of Deanna Horjus-Lang, will perform its Spring 2023 concert on Sunday, May 7 at 3 p.m., and Tuesday, May 9 at 7 p.m., at the First Congregational United Church of Christ Church in Baraboo.
Director Horjus-Lang said, "This music all magically came together and formed its own concert theme. ‘Alone in the night’ features atmospheric songs about stars, moons, sun and earth, darkness, heaven, angels and eternity. The concert is mostly rich acapella pieces, but also features tone chimes, tuned percussion, piano and keyboard accompaniments. Heartfelt texts range from Hafez, Wordsworth, Teasdale, Noyes and Dickenson to Billy Joel. We have a very beautiful performance waiting for you!"
Accompanist Susan Lappin at the piano and keyboard will be joined by a tom, chime and percussion ensemble.
Admission at the door is $10, with a student and senior price of $5. First Congregational United Church of Christ is located at 131 6th Avenue in Baraboo.
