The annual University of Wisconsin-Platteville FFA Career Development Events serve as area requirements for agricultural mechanics, dairy cattle, floriculture, horses, livestock, veterinary science and wildlife teams seeking to qualify for these state events 

Registration and Fees

Registration is $30 for your chapter plus $30 per team. The chapter fee can be waived by having the advisor help out with one of the events.

  • March 6: Last day to postmark, fax, or register your students online without paying a $50 late fee.
  • March 13: Last day registrations are accepted.
  • March 13: Last day to cancel your registration and receive a refund.

8:15–9 a.m. Registration and check-in
All team members and coaches are to report to the registration desk in Velzy Commons, Ullsvik Hall, where Judging cards and packets must be picked up

8:40–9 a.m. Load buses
Buses for the horses, meats, livestock, and junior dairy events will leave promptly at 9 a.m.

8:30–9 a.m. Senior Dairy Cattle
Senior Dairy Cattle students are to report to the Center for the Arts

8:45 a.m.  Heat 1 dairy products
Participants are to report to the Markee Pioneer Student Center

9 a.m. General assembly
Students in agricultural mechanics, crops, wildlife, floriculture, poultry, sales, farm business management, veterinary science and dairy products (Heat 2) events will be welcomed and dismissed to their respective events

10 a.m. Heat 2 dairy products
Participants are to report to the Markee Pioneer Student Center

  • One team per chapter per CDE
  • FFA members with dues paid only in qualifying CDEs
  • No cell phones allowed in CDEs

Bus drivers should find off-campus parking such as Walmart, Farm & Fleet, etc.  Do not park in faculty lots or handicap designated stalls.  

School vans and cars can park in parking lot 3A on campus.
