Construction Career Day gives students exposure to the different career opportunities within the construction industry. Students will experience hands-on activities, and the opportunity to network with construction professionals and UW-Platteville faculty, students, and alumni. Students will also be given the opportunity to experience what a real construction site is like. The event is geared towards ninth–12th grade students, but all are welcome.

Why should I attend?

  • Learn about construction career fields like heavy equipment operation, plumbing, heating, and electrical work, bridge and roadways, and much more!
  • Explore how 2-year, 4-year, apprenticeships, and certificate options in the trades can lead to a great career.
  • Enjoy working with college students, touring campus, and meeting construction professionals and Pioneer Pete.
