The implementation of the University Personnel System (UPS) on July 1, 2015, authorized and directed by the State of Wisconsin (Wis. Stat. 36.115), created two new personnel systems separate and distinct from Chapter 230:  one for UW-Madison and one for all other UW System institutions.
