Saturday, Aug. 29

10 am - 1:30 pm Commuter Student Campus Group Check-in
  • Non-traditional, commuter, off-campus, and transfer students not living in the Residence Halls
  • Check-in and get your Pioneer Passport, textbooks, and parking information
  • Be ready for a large group meeting beginning at 1:30 pm

1:30 pm Large Group Introduction Meeting
  • Meet other non-traditional, commuter, off-campus, and transfer students
  • Discuss other WW calendar events and attending as a group
  • Proceed as a group to the convocation Round Robin Events

2:15 pm Convocation (highly encouraged/optional)
  • ALL new students should begin at the appropriate location for their group listed below
  Chancellor Shields Welcome Convocation and “Choose Your Own Adventure” with Dr. Chris Frayer, Assistant Dean Les Hollingsworth, and Dr. Travis Nelson
  • Off-Campus/Commuter, Rountree, McGregor, Hugunin, Porter, Bridgeway and  Brockert
Velzy Commons, Ullsvik Hall
  Culture of Care and Student Leadership Tips for Success 
  • Non-Traditional, Dobson, Morrow, SW, Wilgus, Melcher and Pickard
Bo Ryan Court
2:55 pm Groups switch locations
  • Following the two 40 minute presentations, students will dismissed and depart from Residence Halls or Round Robin sessions for the City of Platteville Welcome and downtown activities
3:45 pm Platteville Chamber of Commerce Merchant Scavenger Hunt & Welcome Picnic
  • Scavenger Hunt until 5:00 pm with fabulous prizes!

5 pm Dinner located at City Park Downtown Platteville (Rainsite: Velzy Commons, Ullsvik)
