Total for graduation - 125 credits
General education - 44-58 credits
Major studies - 81 credits

All students will select an area of concentration from the following disciplines:
Ceramics, Cross-Disciplinary Studio, Painting and Drawing, or Sculpture.
Students must complete the minimum credits in their area of concentration (21 for Drawing and
Painting, Ceramics, and Sculpture: 30 for Cross-Disciplinary Studio) but may take more by
choosing additional studio electives in their area.

PERFORMING AND VISUAL ARTS SETS 2 NEW DEGREES

To help fill the growing demand for graduates who can think creatively and become innovative problem solvers in the 21st century, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville’s Department of Performing and Visual Arts will offer two additional degrees in fall 2017: Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts in art education.

ALumna Wins t-shirt design contest

February 24, 2017

Haley Hurst, a 2016 UW-Platteville graduate, was recently chosen as the Milwaukee Brewers' Fan-Shirt Friday Design Contest winner. Her design will be featured on 20,000 shirts and given away at a game this summer.
