UW-Platteville's Online Journal for Undergraduate Research and Creative Endeavors
To provide access to outstanding undergraduate research, scholarly articles, and creative works. Published annually, The Pioneer Journal selects original research manuscripts, papers, and other creative works to showcase the finest academic achievements by UW-Platteville undergraduate students from all disciplines.
The editors of the Pioneer Journal seek drafts from outstanding students across campus and from all disciplines. Faculty mentors and academic staff are encouraged to promote the work of their students completed within the current academic year.
Annual recipients of the Pioneer Undergraduate Research Fellowships (PURF) will have their work published within the Pioneer Journal as part of their award.
Authors retain the copyright for posted submissions and are encouraged to publish their work elsewhere.

Collaboration with a Mentor: All student submissions must be accompanied by a letter of support from a mentor. The mentor may be either be a member of UW-Platteville faculty, or academic staff. Mentors serve as the primary editors of student work.
Authorship: Multi-authored works are acceptable and encouraged. Issues concerning authorship will be dealt with principally by the project mentor; journal editors may intervene on a case-by-case basis.
Format of submissions: Material submitted by students should be deemed acceptable within the field of the work and reflect a high degree of professionalism.
Video, audio and other formats must be able to stream from UW-Platteville’s server and be embedded in UW-Platteville’s web pages.
