Community Donation & Recycling Event

What: Drop off unwanted household items including electronics, clothes, furniture and more!
When: Sunday May 11th, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Where: Parking lot 3A of UW-Platteville next to Karrmann Library at the corner of S Hickory St. & Greenwood Ave. (see map)
Why: Prevent unwanted household items from ending up in the landfill; we will recycle and reuse them for you!

Accepted for free: Clothes, furniture, computers, printers, laptops, cell phones, stereo equipment, microwaves, large household appliances, small misc. household items & more!
Accepted with a fee: Freon items ($15), Plastic TV’s/Monitors ($5), Pair Wood Speakers ($10), Wood Console/Projection TV ($15), Bare and broken glass on monitors / tv’s and bare CRTs ($10)
Not Accepted: Fluorescent lights, PCBs, Radioactive Materials, Hazardous Materials, Flammable Materials, Explosives, Compressed Gas, Corrosives.

A note about computers: If the computer still works 5R will wipe the hard drive and resell it. If the computer doesn't work or if you want absolute verification that the hard drive is wiped of personal information, you can request that service for $10.
