Additional Items to Consider

  • Will you need time to set up decorations or displays?
    • Your reservation time will be the time you want to have access to the space requested, while your event time will be the time you want your event to begin for guests. For example, for a 7 p.m. recognition banquet you may want your reservation time to begin at 6:30 p.m. to set programs out on the tables or to check the sound equipment.
  • Does your event need directional or informational signage?
    • Design Services can provide promotional signage in advance of your event as well as directional or informational signage during your event.
  • Do you need a check-in table?
    • Depending on the room you are using, a check-in table may be able to be located outside of the room or may need to be located elsewhere to accommodate fire code.
  • Will there be a performance during your event?
    • University organizations need to make certain the appropriate performance contracts are completed.
  • Are you planning on selling anything?
    • Use of university facilities may incur charges if sales are occurring on site.
  • Are you planning to conduct fundraising as part of or all of your event?
    • University organizations need to make certain prior approval has been granted by University Advancement.
    • Registered Student Organizations must complete the Food Handling and Fundraising Approval form.
  • Is your event a ticketed event?
  • Will you need parking?
    • Arrangements can be made with the reservations coordinator.
