Display Cases

The Markee Pioneer Student Center has four (4) display cases available for use by campus organizations.

  • Three (3) display cases, labeled DC2, DC3 and DC4, are located on the first floor of the building.
  • One (1) display case, labeled DC6 is located on the second floor of the building.
  • These display cases are available for weekly use on a first come, first served basis.
    • The cases are available on Monday morning and must be cleaned out by Sunday evening, so they are available for the next group.
    • Organizations must remove all items from their designated display case by 10pm on the last day of use (Sunday).  
    • If a display case is not reserved the following week, an organization may extend their reservation on Friday of the reserved week for another seven (7) consecutive days.
  • Items removed from display cases by Markee Pioneer Student Center staff will be kept at the Information Center for organizations to pick up for a period of three (3) days, after which the items will be disposed of.

Bulletin Boards

The Markee Pioneer Student Center provides four (4) bulletin boards for use by campus and community organizations.

Banners

The Markee Pioneer Student Center has two (2) banner locations; one (1) space located above the Northwest interior entry and one (1) space located above the Northwest stairwell.

  • These spaces are available to only University Organizations on a first come, first serve basis. 
  • Reservations may be requested with the Event Reservations. 
  • Groups may reserve only one banner location at a time.
  • Banner advertising is limited to UW-Platteville advertising and events, which are open to the campus community.
  • Posters or flyers are not permitted in these locations.
  • Banners for hanging above the Northwest interior entry must;
    • show sponsorship,
    • be a landscape design,
    • be no larger than three (3) feet by six (6) feet and no smaller than twenty-two (22) inches by twenty-four (24) inches, 
    • and be made from butcher block paper.
  • Banners for hanging above the Northwest stairwell, hung from the second floor landing must;
    • show sponsorship,
    • be a portrait design,
    • be three (3) feet by four (4) feet in size,
    • and be vinyl, laminated paper, or other approved material.
  • All banners must meet with quality standards established by the Student Centers administration, including being made from fire retardant materials.
  • All banners must be approved by the Student Centers administration and are only hung by Markee Operations staff on the weekend or during other low traffic times.
  • Banners may be displayed for no longer than seven (7) consecutive days, beginning Sunday night of the reserved week through the following Sunday unless prior approval has been granted by the Student Centers Assistant Director for Operations.
  • All banners must be picked up at the Information Center a minimum of three (3) days after the reservation ends. Any unclaimed banners will be disposed of.

Make a Reservation

  • University groups may use Web Reservations to request facility use. If you do not have an account, you will be asked to create one before you can submit a request.
  • Non-university groups are asked to e-mail or call us about facility use.
