Music and Choir
Join a campus music ensemble! The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Richland Campus Band is a credited ensemble that performs at selected campus events and is augmented by community members to form the campus/community band that performs in concert each semester.
There are two credited choral opportunities on campus: The UW-Platteville Richland Choir is a selective ensemble comprised of students only, while the campus/community choir is open to anyone high school age or up. Both perform in concert each semester.
The campus A Capella club, the Diminuendos, is a student-led organization that performs in concert and at various other functions through the year.
Everyone is invited to attend concerts on campus and to attend the Richland Concert Association concert series. Your membership paid for by UW-Platteville Richland.
Theatre
The UW-Platteville Richland Theatre is a campus-community theater sponsored by the Department of Communication and Theatre Arts. Funded by a combination of ticket sales and student fees, UW-Platteville Richland Theatre typically produces one play a semester.
Because the theater is provided and maintained by the community, the production ensemble—both onstage and offstage—welcomes students and community members. This combination offers students the professional level and capabilities of an educational theater, as well as enjoyment of the sense of community.
You have the opportunity to gain more experience and get more personal attention than you might receive at a larger campus and work with talented and experienced mentors from the community.
