Director of Student Life & Development: Linda Mulroy-Bowden
I am beginning my twenty-seventh year at UW-Platteville as a member of the Central Staff Residence Life team. I obtained my undergraduate degree at UW-Eau Claire in Special Education/ Elementary Education and my masters degree in College Student Personnel from UW-LaCrosse.
In the role as Director, I have the overall responsibility for the management of the residence hall community of 3,700+ students in twelve residence halls. This includes management of fiscal resources, supervision of personnel, programmatic development, administration of room assignments, development and implementation of policies and procedures, and facility management.
Assistant Director: Matt Zielinski
I am beginning my fourteenth year as part of the Department of Residence Life. I am a graduate of UW-Platteville with degrees in Education/Special Education, Spanish and Criminal Justice.
My responsibilities include oversight of facility operations for all residential facilities, facilities budget planning, supervision of facility projects and renovations, coordination of safety and security practices, liaison for Residence Life with campus Maintenance and Custodial departments, supervision of the residence hall summer camps and conferences program, co-supervision of 16 student Senior Assistants, oversight of residence hall front desk operations, professional staff recruitment, and serving as the Administrative Liaison to NRHH. I also work with and supervise 5 of the residence halls: Cooper Living Learning Center, McGregor, Morrow, Southwest, and Wilgus.
Assistant Director: Jennifer Artz
Greetings! I am beginning my fourteenth year at UW-Platteville. I am a graduate of UW-Platteville’s Masters of Science in Education, Counselor Education graduate program, and hold an undergraduate degree from UW-Stevens Point in Psychology.
My responsibilities include working with issues education, programming/curriculum and student staffing aspects of the department. This includes coordination of curriculum/programming aspects of Living Learning Communities & Interest Communities, selection, recruitment and training of the resident assistants, as well as developing residence hall wide curriculum. I also have supervision responsibilities in Bridgeway Commons, Brockert, Dobson, and Hugunin Halls.
Assistant Director: Jennifer Schnurer
I am beginning my first year as part of the Department of Residence Life at UW-Platteville, but have worked for 18 years within the UW System. I am a graduate of UW-Oshkosh with a Master’s Degree in Counseling, emphasis in Higher Education and Bachelor’s Degree in Science – Human Services.
My responsibilities include oversight of business operations through our marketing, assessments, technology, training, and website updating. I serve as the department liaison with the Admissions Office to ensure all students receive up-to-date information and tours of housing facilities. I serve as the Administrative Liaison to the Residence Hall Association (RHA) and am the Deputy Title IX Coordinator for the department.
I work with and supervise 4 of the residence halls: Melcher, Pickard, Porter and Rountree.
