Research/Professional Development

My area of interest is primarily in the area of intimate partner violence. I am certified by the Wisconsin Batterers Treatment Provider Association, chair UW-Platteville’s Sexual Assault Awareness Council, and serve on the Grant County Task Force Against Sexual Violence. My research and clinical training has focused primarily on understanding and altering men’s belief systems related to power and control, especially within intimate partnerships.

Other Interests

When not teaching, I am usually working with individuals, couples, and families or running shifts with Platteville’s Emergency Medical Service as I am a licensed EMT.
