The University of Wisconsin-Platteville wants to host middle school students for a once-in-a-lifetime experience at STEM camp.

Middle school students, those entering 7th through 9th grade, will gain hands-on experience in the sciences while practicing new skills, creating friendships, experiencing college life, and thinking about their career path.

Our program includes a variety of academic courses like genetics, ecology, chemistry, and robotics, as well as team-building activities and field trips.

Nightly recreational activities include bowling, a private pool party, and a banquet and graduation ceremony.

Location and Cost

Students study and stay at UW-Platteville Richland. They will taste college by living in residential housing facilities, nestled in the beautiful hills of Southwestern Wisconsin’s driftless geologic region. For help finding the location you can view a campus map and driving directions.

The $400 registration cost includes all activities as well as meals, snacks, and lodging.

Scholarships are available for students who qualify for free or reduced-price school lunches. Complete and submit the DPI scholarship form for consideration.

To complete the student’s registration you will need to fill out the health and consent form.

Cancellations will receive a refund minus a $15 fee if received by the deadline. Cancellations must be made during office hours (8 a.m. - 4 p.m.). No refunds are available after the deadline published in the brochure.
