The Middle Childhood - Early Adolescence Education program at UW-Platteville will prepare you to become resourceful, creative, and a competent teacher, working with children in primary through middle school. This innovative program integrates theory and practice with integrated learning design and project-based learning.
You’ll complete teaching courses, along with courses in a specialty field of English education, mathematics for middle school teachers, natural science, or social science. Hands-on student teaching gives you the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills in actual schools with teachers, students, and university supervisors.
This program will allow you to meet the requirements for teaching first through eighth grade, with licensure in middle childhood-early adolescence education for the state of Wisconsin.
