The youth programs offered through the Continuing Education Institute at the UW-Platteville Baraboo Sauk County provide summer fun and enrichment for area kids.

The Art Academy is for budding artists entering grades 1 through 9.

Exploration is the goal, with artists of all experience and talents welcome. An artist’s showcase on Friday at the end of class gives students an opportunity to display and discuss their work.

Past years’ students have worked with:

  • Puppetry
  • Circular weaving
  • Sashiko embroidery
  • Art selfies
  • Dorodango pottery
