Dr. Craig Wilson, J.D., Ph.D., is the inaugural dean and professor at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville’s Division of Professional Studies. The Division is comprised of the School of Graduate Studies, the Center for Distance Learning, and the Continuing Education Institute. 

A proponent of collaborative leadership, Wilson has led teams in various traditional and virtual educational settings including public, private, highly selective, multi-campus, and open access institutions. He enjoys working with colleagues and communities from all walks of life, as well as serving students from diverse backgrounds. 

Wilson strives to create inclusive environments where all feel welcomed and valued. A combat veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Wilson is comfortable in the most demanding situations and works to ensure organizational goals are achieved. He is well-versed in a multitude of teaching and learning theories and practices, digital technologies in education, and consistently works with teams to plan, resource, and effectively implement their uses in campus, online, and marketing endeavors.

Dr. Wilson enjoys the blend of art and science as well as deep discussions of the implementation of artificial intelligence that involve the balance of the liberal arts and technology.
