Rita Udelhoven earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Loras College in Dubuque, IA and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.

Udelhoven is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with almost 30 years of teaching and counseling experience. She has taught a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate level classes for the University of Wisconsin, as well as other colleges. In addition to teaching in the psychology department and in the Master of Science in Education/Adult Education program, she is also an advisor for the graduate program.

Udelhoven’s counseling background includes inpatient, outpatient, intensive outpatient, and residential settings. She currently has a private practice where she counsels adolescents and adults. Her specialties include depression, anxiety, stress management, relationship issues, loss and grieving, trauma/PTSD, sexual assault & domestic violence, self-esteem, and mindfulness training.
