Dr. Steck earned his PhD in Curriculum & Instruction and a Master of Science in Technology Education from Indiana State University. He has two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in Industrial Arts from the State University of New York-Oswego, and one in Public Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Dr. Steck taught photography and worked as a professional photographer in Terre Haute, Indiana and Oswego, New York. He currently teaches in the department of industrial studies and coordinates the technology education program. He serves as faculty advisor to the Harry Nohr Woodturners, the 300th Chapter of the American Association of Woodturners, the most active community/university group on campus.
