Dr. Wonim Son

Dr. Son earned her PhD in Curriculum and Instruction, specializing in Early Childhood Education, from the Indiana State University. She earned her Doctorate (all but dissertation) in Educational Philosophy and History from the Korea University, her Master of Education in Educational Philosophy and History, and her Bachelor of Arts in Civic Ethics Education from the Sungshin Women’s University in Seoul, Korea.

Dr. Son teaches classes that include the Foundations of Early Childhood Education, Human Growth and Development, Pre-K Methods of Cognitive Development, and Administration and Family Relations in Early Childhood. Her research focuses on pedagogy, multiculturalism, professional development, and values in children’s literature.

She is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young children (NAEYC).
