Biography

Laura Rhode earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. She earned her Master of Science in Education from Viterbo University.

She has been teaching for UW-Platteville since 2010 when she started as an instructor for the Creative Development for Young Children. She went on to teach Administration and Family Relations in Early Childhood before becoming an instructor for the Preschool Credential courses in 2012.

Rhode has also taught kindergarten, fifth grade, and summer school. Her additional educational experiences range from tutoring, fostering, reading coach, and most recently served on the Teacher Evaluation Committee for Dodgeville School District. She has been a member of No Child Left Behind, RTI/Reach committee, and Link 4 Learning Cadre. She had studied Deafblind Intervener training and other courses in sign language and phonics.
