Dr. Mesut Muslu, PE

Dr. Muslu earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering and Master of Science in Engineering Management from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, and his Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering from the Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey.

Dr. Muslu's technical areas of interest lies in the operation of power systems with environmental constrains, economic/environmental dispatch, engineering education, and renewable energy systems. Prior to joining UW-Platteville he worked at the Turkish Electricity Authority and Wisconsin Energy Corporation. In addition to teaching for UW-Platteville, Dr. Muslu was previously the Department Chair for the Electrical Engineering program; served as Interim Dean of the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Science; and as the Program Coordinator for the Collaborative Engineering program. He currently serves as the Program Coordinator for the Sustainable and Renewable Energy Systems program.

He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Wisconsin Association of Energy Engineers (WAEE), and is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Wisconsin.
