Biography

Beth Whitish earned her Master of Science in Home Economics and Early Childhood from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Pre K-3rd Grade from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. She has also received the Family Day Care certificate from Southwest Wisconsin Technical College.

She has worked as a lab assistant at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College’s Child Care Center. She was also an instructor in the Child Care Services and Early Childhood Education programs for the college. Previously she has been a co-chair and president of the Southwest Wisconsin Association for Vocational Educators. She is an active member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, served on the Southwest Community Action Program, and served as a member of the UW-Platteville Early Childhood Conference planning team.

Whitish’s expertise is in the areas of curriculum, management procedures, safety, nutrition and guidance and working with families. Her passion is working with students who are seeking credit based education to promote quality in the early childhood programs and help improve the lives of young children.
