Professional Experience
Kaiser began teaching at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in the Department of Industrial Studies in 1998, teaching undergraduate courses in drafting, product design, operations and production planning, leadership and management, robotics, materials testing, and work measurement.
Currently Kaiser performs such duties as curriculum and program development, advising undergraduate students, and internship evaluations. She visits employers and student internship sites to help her maintain a perspective on current industry practices and technology and to facilitate the integration of current practices into the classroom.
Kaiser received the 2008 Outstanding Industrial Technology Professor Award in recognition of excellence in teaching, service to the profession, and scholarship by the National Association of Industrial Technology.
Kaiser's work experience prior to joining UW-Platteville includes over 10 years in various management-level positions in the manufacturing and service sectors, giving her an applied and broad knowledge of organizational practices. Kaiser was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army through the UW-Platteville Army Reserve Officer Training Corps and served as a Signal Corp Officer with the Department of Army Reserves. She is a member of Epsilon Pi Tau, the International Honor Society for Professions in Technology.
Personal Information
Her research interests include process improvement, operations management, manufacturing systems, supply chain management, work measurement, ergonomics, and nondestructive testing methods.
