Heidi Geske serves as Assistant Internship Coordinator and Lecturer in Agribusiness in the School of Agriculture at UW-Platteville. She currently teaches Agricultural Consulting and Sales, Agribusiness Professional Development I and II. She previously taught Producer & Consumer Agricultural Cooperatives and worked as an academic and career counselor/employer liaison in the UW-Platteville Academic & Career Advising Center (ACAC).
With continued responsibilities in the classroom, Heidi’s interests include reaching out to industry employers and students, faculty and staff in the College of BILSA, assisting students with professional development and search skills for jobs and internships, and academic advising. Heidi earned a bachelor’s degree in technical agriculture and journalism from UW-Platteville in 1989, and completed her master’s degree at UW-Platteville in adult education with a vocational/technical concentration in 2014. Her professional industry experiences in agricultural communications, sales & marketing, student advising and partnership building offers a positive contribution to the School of Agriculture.
Heidi is a Durand, IL native whose hobbies include watching sons Leif and Wyat play Darlington (WI) Redbird sports and show pigs, partnering with husband Jeremy, his children Michael and Milly to raise and show registered Suffolk sheep in New Prague, MN and golfing. She is a lifetime member of the Association of Women in Agriculture.
