Professional Experience
Joseph Barnes is a motivated accounting and finance lecturer, who applies his diversified experience covering interest rate management, debt management, securitization, and auditing and cash management to inspire students in the pursuit of academic excellence. Barnes is an instructor with over 10 years experience teaching numerous accounting and finance courses at several accredited universities.

Over the span of 15 years, Barnes has leveraged his financial experience in the classroom. He has operated hedging and asset securitization programs for multinational corporations; provided investment analysis, capital markets funding, and business planning for non-profit and profit organizations.  In addition, he managed treasury operations for a municipality and provided business development services for companies requiring early stage funding.

Barnes has served as Treasurer for a couple professional and community organizations, like the NBMBA Association and Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).
