Engineering
UW-Platteville is a top Wisconsin engineering school, graduating the second largest number of engineering degrees in the state. Our graduates drive innovation at companies in the Midwest, across the country and around the world. We offer seven ABET-accredited programs aligned with industry standards.
Business
If your goal is to run your own business or be a corporate leader, UW-Platteville will help you launch your business career. You’ll learn the skills to work in every aspect of business from finance to sales to human resources, to leadership and administration.
Forensic Investigation
UW-Platteville is the first and only public institution of higher education in the Midwest to grant a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Investigation. Using innovative teaching tools like our Forensic Investigation Crime Scene House, you’ll learn investigative methods and crime scene processing techniques such as fingerprint identification, crime scene mapping, legal aspects, and forensic photography.
Agriculture
As one of only three institutions in the state that make up the Dairy Innovation Hub, UW-Platteville has earned a reputation as a leading agriculture college in Wisconsin. By earning your degree with us, you can join the many graduates who have found success in agribusiness, as well as the management of animals and crops for food, feed, fiber, and fuel. Plus, you’ll experience our Pioneer Farm, a 430-acre living laboratory providing education, research, and outreach.
Exciting News for Fall 2025: Introducing Direct Admission!
Embarking on your UW-Platteville journey just got easier with the Direct Admission program for Wisconsin students. Teaming up with numerous school districts across the state, we're streamlining the admission process for students starting with the Class of 2025.
If your high school is part of this initiative and you meet UW-Platteville’s admission standards, expect a letter from the Universities of Wisconsin in late July. This letter will outline the UW institutions where you've been admitted. Upon receiving it, simply complete the Direct Admit form to secure your direct admission offer.
For those not receiving a letter or attending a non-participating school, don't worry! You can still apply through the Universities of Wisconsin online application after August 1st.
