Production Facilities

Media Technology Services has sound studios, a television studio, lecture capture room, and a lab full of video editing resources. 


If you need an area to produce a professional quality video, then the Pioneer Tower Television studio is where you want to be!  With a multi-camera set up, studio lighting grid, green screen curtain, professional sound board, full directors suite, character generator, teleprompter, fully integrated intercom system, and an engineering control room the studio can handle your production.  The TV-5 News and 30CC show are both produced in the television studio weekly.  If you are interested in reserving the studio for your next production, please contact us at least 48 hours ahead of time.

Recording Studio


We offer a computer with Camtasia Studio 6 installed for creating your own screen casts.  The computer, equipped with a headset, is capable of capturing your voice while you demonstrate your software, document, spreadsheet, or other media.  We provide training on how to get up and running with doing your own screen casts, and can help you along the way.  You are able to export your final video into a file that you can either burn to a DVD, host on our Mediasite server, or put up on YouTube for the world to see.  If you are interested in doing your own screen casts, please contact us today!


The sound studio includes Audition 5.5, Audacity, Professional Quality Microphone, Multi-microphone capture, CD/Mini-Disk Player, Reel to Reel, Audio Cassette Decks, Cart Decks, Turntables, Professionally Quality Sound Board.


This facility, located in the Bear's Den computer lab of the Pioneer Student Center, provides students, faculty, and staff with a meeting and work place for projects that require the latest technology.

The lab is equipped with high end software and technology for video editing, web design, and audio editing. High-speed computers, video cameras and editors, DVD and CD players and burners, and VHS and digital video capture are all available from this area. The lab is an ideal resource for creating class presentations for both faculty and students.

Media Technology Services personnel can train interested individuals in the proper use of the software and hardware provided in the lab. If interested, please contact us to make arrangements for a convenient time.

This lab is a general access lab and is available during regular Pioneer Student Center hours. It may also be reserved for group use.
