This class will build your self-analysis skills in the creative problem solving process by introducing you to the techniques and tools used by successful managers. After completing this class, you will be able to analyze the situation and choose the best approach to drive the creative problem solving process in an organizational setting.

Unit Descriptions

Unit 1

In order to understand strategy, we must begin with our baseline. We have concepts and theories in place that are our mental models and bias when it comes to creativity. We may already think we are very talented with the creative gift or some of us have a tough time even finding creativity in the dictionary. We will begin with our baseline and expand on or even explode with new ideas as we work through this class. We will begin by taking a broad look at what is out in the world this first week then become more focused on tools, techniques and methods to increase our creative skill sets.
