What you'll learn studying Environmental Engineering at UW-Platteville
If you’re dedicated to protecting the environment, reducing waste, minimizing pollution, and developing solutions to environmental challenges, you should explore environmental engineering with the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. As an environmental engineer, you’ll use the principles of engineering, soil science, biology, and chemistry to help reduce waste and pollution, and improve environmental conditions through remediation.
The Environmental Engineering program is accredited by the EAC Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org, under the General Criteria and the Environmental Engineering Program Criteria. Our program allows you to hone your analytical skills and ability to clearly explain design ideas and plans. You’ll experience hands-on education with computer modeling, state-of-the-art laboratory work, field work, and site visits.
