There are two accommodation facilities offered for international students at the Windesheim University of Applied Sciences (WUAS): Leliestraat and Harm Smeengekade. Set up as mini-apartments, most rooms are single, though some are shared. Each room has its own shower, toilet, sleeping area, and living room. In the Leliestraat, there is a fully equipped kitchenette, with a microwave and fridge. In the Harm Smeengekade, every room has a dresser and kitchen-sink unit, and there is a large kitchen that is shared among students living on the same floor. All rooms have desks, chairs and tables for students to work and eat at.
Meals are paid for out-of-pocket by the student, and there are many little cafes on campus or around the city or students can eat in the cafeterias on campus. If students prefer to cook their own meals, students can do so in the kitchens that are available with in their accommodation.
Harm Smeengekade has wireless internet, Leliestraat has wired access, and both may require an additional cost. Adjustments with regard to speed and availability must be anticipated.
Harm Smeengekade has a laundry mat near-by, and Leliestraat has a communal laundry area on site.
Accommodation costs are paid out-of-pocket in advance of their term at WUAS. Water, energy, and the security deposit are included in the accommodation cost. All rent and deposits are paid in euros; credit cards are not accepted.
