The UW-Platteville Exchange program does not include organized excursions and activities, but students can organize independent travel on weekends and over university breaks. The capital of New South Wales, Sydney, is only a few hours away, perfect for a weekend trip. The state of New South Wales also borders Queensland to the north, South Australia to the west, and Victoria to the south, giving students at UoN unique weekend or semester-break travel options.

INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (ILEAD)
iLEAD is an extra-curricular leadership program that enables domestic and international students to participate in additional activities on top of their coursework and programmatic activities. By participating in the program, not only will students develop leadership and communication skills, students will also achieve an appreciation of cross-cultural concepts and gain valuable skills through personal experiences related to leadership, international awareness, and community engagement. STUDENT CLUBS AND SOCIETIES
Joining a student club or society is a great way to meet other international students and domestic students with similar interests. The University of Newcastle offers a wide-range of opportunities to get involved on the Callaghan campus, including: Anime Club, Exercise and Sport Science Club, Psychology Society, Christian Students, Environmental Collective, and local sporting clubs including football, rugby, and cricket.
